Beautiful Shifts
Honest conversations on life’s transitions & shifts. New perspectives, finding beauty together. We are Lindsay and Shantil - two friends who love good conversation, connection, and expanding our view of the human experience. While going through our own life transitions, we began recognizing many extraordinary shifts in the ordinary lives of people around us. In awe of their ability to find beauty amidst challenge and change, we created this space to share these inspiring stories. Through this podcast, we hope to bring the concept Fred Roger’s loved and explained so well to life, ”Frankly, there isn’t anyone you couldn’t learn to love once you’ve heard their story.” Follow along on Instagram @beautifulshifts_podcast and on Facebook where we share episode updates, photos of guests, video clips, and more. Today's re-release is a conversation from Season One that had such great impact on us and is one of our most listened-to episodes of all seasons.
In 2021, Mason's family was involved in a fatal car accident that took the lives of his wife, daughter, son, brother, and nephew. Sam was born with a rare form of Dwarfism that affects bone growth and development and causes abnormalities. Best friend's since high school, they share more about their stories and how they have used the 10Ninety Principle, the name of their podcast, to share stories so others feel less alone, focusing on how life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent what you make it.
They are both incredibly inspiring and have great sense of humors. We laughed and cried through this unforgettable conversation and are grateful we were able to hear their stories and learned so much from them both.
